Google Nest Audio | Setup & Review | Best smart speaker for music?

Reviewing the Google Nest Audio smart speaker, an upgraded home model fresh for 2020, offering the best music quality of any of Google's line-up. Here I setup and test the Nest Audio, with a closer look at the sound quality as well as that Assistant functionality.

Here in the UK, you can grab this speaker from Amazon and other high street retailers from October 15, for £90.

Like previous Home devices, you get a combo plastic and fabric finish, available in chalk or charcoal colours. Google has boosted the sound output, so you now get 75% more power and 50% stronger bass vs that original Home smart speaker. The Nest Audio serves up surprisingly good music despite its compact size, with a strong enough volume to fill even quite a large room. Plus you can connect multiple devices for a speaker output or synced playback throughout your house.

To setup, just download Google Home for your Android phone or iPhone and follow the instructions, as we run through in this video. You can then use Hey Google commands to interact with the Nest Audio, via the triple far-field mic config.

I've paired my $50 Google Hub 2nd gen with a $5-10 B/T receiver plugged into my stereo receiver. Works great, and produces ACTUAL stereo sound.
