Matchday 75 – Bromley FC – A Special Day at Hayes Lane!

Welcome to Matchday 75 of our 92-ground challenge! This time, we visited Bromley FC, and what a special day it turned out to be! After reaching out to the club the day before, we were treated to an incredible experience. Not only did we get a guided tour of their impressive facilities, but Liam was also invited to be one of the flag bearers for the match—a moment he’ll never forget!

We hit the road at 08:15 with Grandad Steve joining us, eager to tick off Hayes Lane as part of his journey. Despite some expected traffic on the M25, we made it to the ground in just over 3 hours. Upon arrival, a friendly steward helped us with parking, and we took a walk into Bromley to explore.

Following our new pre-match ritual, we stopped by two local Wetherspoons before heading back to the stadium. After navigating a few car park potholes and checking out the club shop (sadly, no scarves), we met the Bromley staff who gave us a fantastic tour of the gym, ice baths, and other areas of the club.

Liam took to the pitch proudly waving his flag as the players came out, and we settled in to watch an exciting 1-1 draw. We wrapped up the day with a safe journey home, thankful to Bromley FC for making this matchday extra special!
