Antioch Police Department in Dire Need of More Officers

While the Antioch Police Department has several officers on leave due to FBI and DA investigation, the police chief hopes cash incentives will assist with the recruiting. Pete Suratos reports.

How about not hiring anybody. Baby sitting and harrassing people because of others prejudice, predispositions, and proclivities in not the or a job for law enforcement. The days of using laws that aren't the will of the people, but that to special interest groups and police unions to stop a person must end now. ie seatbelt laws, on out light on a vehicle, some fells like someone is suspicious ect and the police stop and kill that person and it's supposed to be okay. Antioch has more than enough police to deal with real crime and not economic laws designed to tax, via fees and court cost for racist laws.

Any police investigation should be conducted by an independent OUTSIDE source. Why isn't this just the norm? I'm glad the FEDS are investigating them.. Good get the LA county Sheriff next.

There is a history lesson to learn about Antioch and Pittsburg. The blue and the red. The cleap housing that everyone and anyone could get into in the 70's and 80's and what that allowed to develop. Now that it is way proplexed there are tons of problems and recruitment is tough. I lived there for 37 years and saw what went on and how in a way sad....no public figures were really activly doing anything to curb it . They were building highschools to be like college campuses....When they couldn't sustain attendance they bussed in the The people have a tough job ahead of them and it is going to take generations to solve it they are even able to,

Being a cop in California? Easiest job in the world. You never arrest anyone and the few criminals who do go before a judge are let loose regardless of the crime. The only job easier than being a cop in California right now is to be a criminal because you will not get caught, or if you do, you will be out in hours. This is what you get when you defund law enforcement...

Compile a list of the defund the police people and then take them out of the equation of calls for service that should be responded to. Then there should be enough police left for those citizens that appreciate having law enforcement. This should be done in all defund the police cities.

First hire should be a truly independent Internal investigations officer.... Make it an ex Then you will be able to retain the cops you hire, instead of having to fire them because they are corrupt
