Been a fan since 2022, and even some ppl says this isn't their cup of tea... I absolutely think that this song spoke from her heart. its just has a way of speaking to the souls of people who like this kind of genre in music. She's such a talented and versatile singer. Atlantic Records clearly doesn't invest in her the way they should — the promotion is weak, leaks happen often, and many projects seem shelved or poorly handled.

Also, the kind of pop she makes has a strong 2010s vibe, which isn’t the current trend, so the market tends to overlook her even though she’s consistent. It also feels like she doesn’t have full control over her career, which adds to the chaotic impression some releases give off.

Still, she has a loyal (even if niche) fanbase, and she definitely deserves more recognition. The music industry is tough, and being “outside the box” is often seen as a problem — when it should be a strength.

Ava Max’s career is honestly bizarre to me. For the longest time, I thought she was a Russian or Dutch pop star, and I only recently found out she’s American??? Also, like 90% of her music feeds off radio — most of her songs peak around the mid-range on the Billboard, but they’re radio hits. I was surprised her newest song didn’t blow up, but I’m not worried. I don’t think that song was meant to be the lead single anyway, since she did basically zero promotion for it. I think it might have been a teaser or just a way to kick off the era. I think she’ll be fine. Her music is very radio-friendly, so as long as the next single keeps that energy and actually gets proper promotion like her other songs, she should be good.
