Thanks, guys! I needed to hear this! I had a very similar situation being an American studying abroad in Buenos Aires and getting sent home due to COVID.

Talking about friendly places, Venezuela and it's society are both extremely fucked in a lot of areas, but we are fundamentally really really friendly people and very warm

I regret missing an opportunity back in December 2019. For two years I was courted by this man. Who was not my type or looks. He was charming and very good going. Well he told me in December 2019 if I wanted to be his girlfriend and I said that I had a boyfriend. Which was a lie. I noticed his face of disappointment for almost two years he took me to dates and honestly we had fun. And we last dated in December 12 2019 I clearly remember it because it was the Day of Virgin of Guadalupe. As a Mexican American from Mexican immigrants I know this.

Honesty my dream was to date a professional and a white person and have a family with him. The man was a Mexican tan skin same age of me looks normal. I mean he dressed up with cheap clothing from Old Navy and Fruit of The Loom shirts. Meanwhile me I work in the fashion industry. I dressed up you could say nicely. I have designer bags and clothing. He clearly was not my type.

Well he left dissatisfied and disappointed I could feel it. He last said talk to you later. He gave me a handshake something we would not do. We usually said goodbye with a cheek kiss and a hug. I texted him days later then on Christmas Eve then New Years got no reply and even called him and no reply. Then on his birthday I kept texting and no reply.

Then on September 2021 my friend who has a part time as a real estate agent got really happy when a client bought 8 upscale apartments it was worth 21 million in total. They told my friend that they needed a interior designer I have a person who has been training me to do it. Me another three we went to fix these apartments. The people who represent the buyer were there and we managed to make friends with them.

I was happy with my part time job until they showed a picture of who's their boss. It was the guy who I said no to being his girlfriend.

I found out that he has a conglomerate since 2013 and he's very wealthy. They all said he easily had 750 million in cash to spent right now if he wanted to. They said that he looks normal but looks can be deceiving.

Now I feel really unfortunate. The man is rich and I lost because of my prejudice. He has a really good looking girlfriend and a nice 200k car. They are going to marry soon. Meanwhile me I am stuck riding public transportation.

Yes I never asked what he worked in. That's why I am shocked that I dated probably a billionaire. And feel terrible.

I wanna talk to him alone and tell him that I am sorry. I still have feelings for him.
