Argentina used to be very affordable a year ago. Now it’s one of the most expensive countries in South America.

Da Nang is ELITE! People focus on the affordability but even if you don't consider the price, the lifestyle is amazing.

Buenos Aires for under 1000 dollars, you're living in a hostel or a dangerous neighborhood. Prices doubled in usd this year

Was living in Lisbon for around 10 years.. then Da Nang for a year in 22/23 (and some other SE Asia.

In a couple months I’m moving to Tbilisi, seems cool!

Argentina was very cheap, but year ago about everything goes up 100% and more... Not cheap anymore. You can live with small money but you must forget all luxury life... I been here now 2 years and so big changes happened. Year ago you order pizza with 5 usd. Now same pizza is 15 usd. Some foods cost same than finland or even more! chicken and beef you get ok prices but thats it. Next year destination will be Thailand and Vietnam.

As an argentinian that recently came back, I can confirm is no longer cheap lmao. I decided to come back for the summer and I already spent more than what I would have paid in europe. Insane.

Thanks for this ranking, I've just come back from Canggu, it's of course so famous but as you said, there is so much to see that it's still not an overrated destination!

I lived in da nang for 5 months my avg cost of living was around 1200 I lived in my an but I recommend looking for other places to live maybe the city side

Buenos Aires is not cheap city anymore because of inflation.
Tbilisi also not so cheap because of many russians emigrants that came there after war started.
Cangu, Bali is expensive if you want to live in nice house/apartment without mold and eat good food (unfortunately Indonesian national cousin is bad).

Do you have a permanent address in Finland while traveling, or are you completely without a fixed address? I'm curious about how you manage things like paying taxes and whether having a fixed address is required for travel insurance. I'm considering adopting a nomadic lifestyle myself but feel uncertain about how to handle the administrative side of things or where to start researching. Thanks!

As others have mentioned, Argentina's economy has changed the situation. In November 2024 vs roughly 1 year prior, I saw price increases of 300% and some almost up to 700%.
It's an incredible city filled with incredible people. I can't imagine their struggle right now.

Hi Joose, Id be interested in hearing what you bring with you as you travel and spend time in different places throughout the year. Do all places you stay provide linens or would you need a sleeping bag in certain places or with lower cost accomodations? Do you bring a single jacket or is the weather always warm in SE Asia? Shoes? Party clothes? Date clothes? Can you live out of a Jansport backpack for the year? What are your essential items that come with you whereever you are and are there items you get and discard or rent as needed?

I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I’ve been SE Asia for 3 months, but it was 5 years ago and I’m returning as a digital nomad Feb/March next year. I’m very seriously considering Danang. Do you know anything about bringing a dog to Danang, is it a good or bad place for them? Thanks for the videos, very informative x
