My mom makes a similar recipe with pears instead of pineapple. She uses a blender to mix everything and the result is smooth and a consistent texture top to bottom - no separating. I’ve never watched her make it but I have her instructions - I watch your video because I wanted to see the process. Thank you very much! I shall now confidently make this recipe for the first time ever…

I have been looking for this recipe for nearly a decade! Mu best friend's mom always made it. They call it "Who Hash". Instead of pineapple she uses strawberries.

Now get yourself some marshmallows baby ones, some nice Chopped pecans, some nice white coconut flakes, and some nice mandarin oranges and add to that recipe and watch how wonderful it turns out. It’s what you call ambrosia. My mothers made it for 60 years and now I make it. And people just rave about it

There were all kinds of jello salads back when I was a kid in the sixties and seventies. One of the most common was nothing more than cubes of three or four different colors of jello just tossed together. The cubes were roughly, like, a cubic inch in size and there were usually three or four colors– orange, green, yellow, red, purple, etc. It had just a mildly sweet flavor, not much else to it.

I've seen many variations on this recipe. My family has one, too. I wish I could find the origin of it.

Girl, you had me at wine. !!!!

So the cream cheese stays in the tiny bits? You don't blend it all in?

I like this recipe but I would have just beat the jello mixture and the cream cheese and the pineapple all together and made it like that. But that's just me.

It probably tastes good but it does not look very appetizing

You won’t get the separation if you put the jello powder in the cool whip, and go on with your recipe.

While I love cream cheese - I'm a little perplexed at how the "chunks" of cream cheese taste throughout this Hmmm 🧐 🤔 🧐 🤔
