These guards are everywhere, not just Tim's. Its commonplace for people to expect this type of security in Pakistani businesses. There haven't been any high profile incidents involving these security companies, so I assume they are doing their jobs properly.

I think because it’s a Canadian company, they probably insisted of it. Unfortunately the west always tries to portray Pakistan as dangerous when it really is not.
I was inPakistan in 2019. Absolutely loved it. My money went so much further and if you want to try luxury in Pakistan….. it comes at such a reasonable cost.
Absolutely love Pakistan. The main thing that stood out for me was the incredible hospitality and friendliness of the people. Very welcoming country.❤

With the recent war in Palestine, call for a boycott for all the western food chains such as Macdonald's etc, there have been some protests outside some food chains, therefore they may have appointed a guard.
