Doing the math to justify having a kid is rough. If no family is around for day care it’s practically impossible

Honestly, I just hope that the couples' money will be put to good use, like helping to raise their siblings' children or, if they don't have siblings, cousins' children or friends' children.

Using all the money on themselves instead of the future generation will just mean that they do not care about the future generation, and if that's the goal, they do not deserve to be remembered.

If you choose to do something important for a young person's life--your child or not, related or not, your child will remember you for it. It's called giving back to the community.

I don't care if any of you have kids. Just don't expect the rest of our children to take care of you when you get too old to do it yourself lol. If we don't have enough young to help take care of the old family will be priority

If you are a parent with kids and annoying that the DINKS have an advantage, just imagine someone came up to you and offered to pay to take your kid(s) away forever. I would assume for most people, the price you would be willing to accept demonstrates that the DINKS are not better off than you

We were DINKs which allowed us to save for a house. In our late twenties we switched to SIWKs. That’s the way to go in my humble opinion.

I have a kid. When she was small, cute and sweet it was nice.. However, when parents are honest and behind closed doors, you would be surprised how many wish they didn't have them. There is one thing that nobody ever said was overrated : Freedom. Do kids make life less boring? Yes. But it cam go wrong in so many ways.

Its going to take more than 10% for senior care. Theres a lot of wealth in a large family, millions in all likelihood. We greatly underestimate the value each person brings into the world with them, providing they arent chronicly ill, which a lot of us are unfortunately
