Most unexpected. Every year we seem to find critters that remind us that our planet has fostered far more variety and solutions to hostile or just demanding / harsh /complex environments.
At the same time, we keep discovering that Humans in many forms have shared the planet and interbred, more than just evolving thru a sequence of forms that disappeared each in its turn.

That first pic has the same color eyes as Danielle's hair, the purple/orange is such a pretty combo - I'd never have thought to put these colors together, it's like a bird of paradise!

Although it is called "flying lemur", the Sunda flying lemur is not a lemur and does not fly. Instead, it glides as it leaps among trees.
