I have to give credit to you, Lee. We all know the kind of music CoF does is not your cup of tea at all, yet you give Richard all the respect he deserves by doing a great job with this interview. There are many, many guys, who are into similar styles of music as you, that would NOT have done this properly, poked fun at him for playing extreme Metal, and just slacked off.

Cradle of Filth are actually one of the best contemporary dark-wave bands in the world. I'll never forget the first time I heard them, changed my life, blew my mind.

Try track 4, Coffin Fodder, it sounds horrible, but is actually quite beautiful

More of this please Captain! Cradle of Filth are awesome and this is one of your best interviews so far. I think speaking to people who have made guitar a viable career is far more important content than what guitar or amp or pedal does what! I love that he uses Mooer gear, shows what real guitarist need vs boutique/expensive cobblers that they think they need but actually don’t, says it all really. Top stuff and loved it!!

Sorry guys, but its story time.

Winnipeg, Manitoba. Cradle's first ever show there. Bought the fianceé and I VIP tickets for her birthday (although we'll definitely argue over who's the bigger fan 😂). These guys are so down to earth, its unbelievable.
Fast forward to the show.
Front row, no barrier whatsoever. Just you and (if you were lucky enough to get rush seating) the stage. During Nymphetamine, Richard comes up to us and PLUCKS MY PHONE FROM MY HAND and records from the stage for a few moments (while still playing with his fretting hand) and hands it back to me.
Dude puts on such a show, it's amazing. So much energy. By far the greatest pair of guitarists (dont forget Marek) for Cradle in a long time.

This was really an outstanding interview. The quality of these Captain Meets videos is such that I watch even if I'm not interested in the individual being interviewed. This time I feel ashamed because Richard was such a great interviewee and a very interesting individual with a true love of the instrument and music he plays. Very cool!
