If your AOC monitor is too washed out and too bright, it would likely be due to using HDMI cables instead of Display port or DVI. most HDMI cables are of low quality. not to mention the monitors electoronics. for better more accurate colors, and deeper contrast and blacks, use dvi and or display port. you can also use a dvi to display port cable if the ports are of the two types. just stay away from HDMI

Would you recommend this monitor in comparison with your other tests of Dell and Asus Screens?

Hi, You mention about interlacing pattern issue ; do you have example image of how it should look like in actual case ?
I have examined an actual monitor sample here (with vga cable) and notice the screen has a yellowish tint. Do you notice something similar during your review?
