Scentsy Tips - Things I’ve Discovered Over Time!

I wanted to do a chat style video covering some tips I’ve learned or things I’ve discovered over the past 6+ years melting and selling Scentsy.
I’ve broken the video into 12 tips, but they are more so talking points. Each “tip” could probably have its own video, so keep in mind this is a condensed matter of fact discussion style video. Please include any questions in the comment section below.

Thanks for watching!

Great advice! One hack I use in my open concept is to turn on only half the warmers to start. Then, an hour or two later, turn on the remaining warmers. I find this extends the number of hours I get from a scent.

“Warm it when you love it” that’s the best piece of advice! I’m going to do that from now on. I really enjoy your videos, they’re informative and fun and you have a real gift for clear and precise communication. Thank you Patricia. 😊

Melt it when you love it. Wow, that is such good advice and I needed to remind myself of that! Great video, Patricia! Thanks for sharing! 💜

Oh my goodness Patricia. I really needed to watch this. We're towards the end of the Spring Summer Catalogue and I was going to order so many to 'store' or add to my club. When I heard your comment about buying as much as you use, I checked my stash and I have approx 200+ spring / summer bars and there's no way ill melt them before next Spring Summer. So my next scentsy order is now going to be winter time! Also I'm wheelchair bound so unable to wash my scentsy dishes as often as id like. I always have hand sanitizer next to me in my bag, so ill be trying your tip to clean my dish using my hand sanitizer more often. Thank you so much for so many helpful tips.x

Melt it while you love it is a great tip. I find my love for a scent changes so often 😂 I no longer purchase a bunch of the same scent for this reason

I find the darker blue wax that gets sweatier smell so much better. I don’t mind a bar that sweats. I’m liking the tips & tricks.

I use hand sanitizer to clean the “gunk” out after I saw the tip in one of your videos. I try to be very careful about the number of bars I purchase. I enjoy the flash sales, so I have ended up with more than usual with the bundles. I have two small bins that I keep in a cabinet with my bars. I have extras now, but I don’t like to have much more than what fits in the bins.I also warm the scents I don’t care for in my garage…I have had three “throw aways”, but garage works pretty well, and I don’t have to do it often. Thanks for the tips!

Guilty of stockpiling but learning to do better! Thank you for these tips!

Great advice. After buying way more than I could warm I’m taking tip number two to heart and having to bring in less to slowly get my stash to a more reasonable amount.

Your videos are always so valuable. So true about scent preferences changes. Warm it when you love it! I agree. I try to have 3 months to 1 year worth of wax on hand. I just shared my wax spreadsheet on my channel. Spoiler Alert: Right now I have about 7 months worth. 😂 LTOs are so often so good 🙌. I wish they came back more often. I am so happy about all the harvest bars from last year that made it to catalog this year. And yes!!! On party links. I’ve only been a consultant for 1 year but a costumer for 17 I think. Shopping links are a must. ❤ I have a testing zone because of you! Best decision ever. It really changed my game. Keep talking about it. 🎉 I pinch my wax up too 🙌🎉

What a fantastic video! Thank you for all the tips. I have a substantial quarterly club and I'm trying to pare it down to be closer to what I'm actually using. I'm a spreadsheet nerd and have my entire collection logged and that includes a sheet for what I'm using. I refigure my averages monthly lol 🙃 Great tip about keeping the shopping list. I'm bad about that, especially with light bulbs. I'm a sale shopper so I always shop the clearance section first. I'll even sometimes chance a more expensive warmer and wait for it to show up in clearance. I recently picked up the Frosted Night mini from clearance and then the full size showed up in a flash sale. I try to be as frugal as possible with my addiction lol! Thanks again!

Such great tips love your videos!! I love your tip about buy what you can warm in a month as i had such a stash and have gotten so much better and ordering what i use. Also I tried the sanitizer in my dishes to clean then and they clean so well and easy! Another thing i do with wax that is light scent is mix it with something that is a bit stronger and it gives it a change in scent

Thanks Patricia! Always check the clearance - I often forget that one! I always use your tip for using hand sanitizer to clean warmer dishes - works really well.

(Jane) I love this type of video. Thanks! I prefer to use the cool down method but if I have turned my warmers off and I want to change the wax I will turn them on and in 3-5 minutes the wax is soft enough to scoop out. My other tip for best throw and longevity is to pair a bulb warmer with an element warmer.

Great tips thanks Patricia. The trying to match the amount you buy to what you use, is one I need to take note of. There’s a serious wax stockpile in this house!

I always learn something new! So thank you for this video.
I am nose blind to summer scents right now. I warmed fall one and there it was! The smell was there lol my club…. I keep swapping out and putting in new loves but now that is growing. 😅

Couldn't agree more about melt it when you love it because yes our noses and preferences can change. Also yes don't buy a thousand bars of something you have never smelled - guess how many bars I bought of perfect pumpkin pear in a flash sale several years ago? Guess how many I still have left? lol

I think I've only had a couple scentsy bars go off on me. Sunburst Bamboo and Summer Rain.
I keep my inventory spreadsheet as up to date as I can with dates on there too from when I purchased them. I also use masking tape and sharpie to write down month/year on there too.

The thing I love about scentsy wax is how easy it easy to change out scentsy wax. I also do a similar wax change like you - maybe turn on the warmer for about 1-2 minutes and the wax just pops right out. Vendor wax or other mass branded wax is not the easiest to remove unless its hot pour. But Scentsy's wax formula is perfect for easy clean up imo.
