Prickly pear, grows wild near my house in Spain and is all over, very cheap to buy the fruit from markets. Good fir cactus juice, but careful if the fine needle hairs on the fruit. Hard to see and can cover your hand in hair fine needles tjat take hours to get out. Meant to wear metal gloves when harvesting the fruit

Same in Ethiopia. We eat the fruit. Very testy and watery!!❤️

It grows in Mexico and is called Atun and not exspensive.

Yes it grown in México because of the heat and they are called tunas and you could buy a bag of those for 5 it like 1 tuba 50 cents

You mean Nopales? You only need to look over your fence at the Mexican neighbors’ backyard to see the home grown cactus & prickly pear fruit used in a variety of dishes & salads. Soo easy to grow as well. No fortunate sons here!
