Right on, Robert! So, so true. That goes for EVERYONE, too. Thank you for this. It’s good to be reminded of one of the basics in life that easily slips my mind for always wanting to believe the best in people. It’s a great way to get yourself screwed when you forget.

It bugs the hell out of me. Especially when someone smiles & gets in your face & tells you what or how you should feel. Bothers the bejeebers out of me ! We were subjected to constant violence from my father at home & in the car, when he drove. It was soul breaking. Then we had to put on a happy face as soon as we left the house. We were actually told if we revealed what went on at home behind closed doors that my father would kill us. He frequently raged at us. Then would leave the house, returning a few hours later, and wonder why we all had a problem with him. You never know what people are going through or what they have been through. So please be gentle with people if you can. I know my father had some sort of complex trauma hence the drinking & violence. We all have to put on a front to feel somewhat protected, sometimes, but it is not helpful when you feel you cannot be yourself. I guess this is why the shrinks do good business.

This is why i understand broken and cynical people, because i see how difficult it is to remain full with joy and hope enough to share with others, let alone within our self, i see how this truth effects the person who has had to be damaged by the mask wearing, phony liars and manipulators of the world, whom refuse to repent of their evil works. They could choose to stop that and help to make the word a better place, yet they will not and so it leaves the idealist broken hearted at the state of void of concience in many people in the world today. Just keep praying God helps them to see the light and change from their own wrong ways.
