Configuring RAID 5 Virtual Disk using Server Administrator - Dell OMSA

preview_player
Показать описание
RAID is a way to virtualize multiple, independent hard-disk drives into one or more arrays to improve performance, capacity, and reliability (availability).

RAID Level 5 (Striping With Distributed Parity)
RAID 5 provides data redundancy by using data striping in combination with parity information. Rather than dedicating a physical disk to parity, the parity information is striped across all physical disk drives in the disk group.

This video helps you to understand Configuring RAID 5 using Server Administrator on Citrix XenServer 6.2.

Is it possible to reconfigure the Raid VD by adding additional drives in existing Raid VD? I have install OMSA installed on ESXI 6.5.

I expanded a RAID 6 to add two more drives. It took three days to finish. I thought I read there was a faster way to do this. I have not clicked around within the OMSA to look for it. I was hoping someone can direct me toit.
