GUMMERS HOW - The Perfect Family Wainwright

Sitting above Lake Windermere, is the family friendly summit of Gummers How. A short walk from the free Gummers How car park, is the path direct to the summit, which offers stunning views of Lake Windermere and all the surrounding Fells. This would be an ideal first Wainwright and walk for all of the family, with superb views, a very expansive summit and only requires basic levels of fitness.

I hadn't heard of Gummers How until now, it's incredible. I often think the southern section of the Lake District gets overlooked. What an amazing hike! Thanks for taking us with you.

It's so sad to hear about the conflict in Ukraine, the news is utterly heartbreaking at the moment. We often take for granted our freedoms in the UK, we're so fortunate we can roam and wander.
