Disclaimer: It's quick fix. But this issue can also be occurred due to swollen battery. It your laptop is more than 2 years old, please replace your laptop's battery. It's not costly!

At first, I don't think the video that lasts only 1:24 can fix my problem but man, I owe you an apology. Thank you a big one.

My XPS 13 9305 is still under warranty until mid 2025. I was actually about to open a case with them to have my touchpad replaced after the integrated click buttons became unreliable. I even checked if the cable connecting it to the motherboard became disconnected. I do not know how this touchpad is built internally and why this is actually helping but it does. Not sure if this continues to work in the longterm but I am very happy with this tipp. Thanks for sharing!

Jesus, it really worked. I was extremely sceptical, didn't work at the beginning, then I pressed it as hard as I could, it made a noise and started working. thank you

This is amazing-- it really works! I believe my issue came from a cleanup of the trackpad and keyboard using a cloth that I sprayed lightly with a cleaner. Afterwards I was having trackpad issues with mouse not moving and left-click not working. I did what My. Looper suggested and am now 100% back in business.
Not clear why so many thumbs down. Maybe somebody did that by accident?

I was skeptical but it seems to be working right now. This issue has been plaguing me for months, and all of the Dell forums insisted on fixing drivers, replacing parts, etc. I can't believe it was this simple. How did you figure this out?

Great suggestion! I just blowed into the gap around the touchpad and it worked afterwards w/o any trouble. A good fix in a few seconds. Many thanks!
