Hi Simon, thanks to you I'm enjoying an Angelbird SE CFxB which never acted up for 215k images 👍
It's good to see Sony shooters finally get the same affordable quality now.
Regarding another company now introducing CFxA .. I'd be surprised when a successor to a CFxB body would suddenly switch to CFxA. Unless maybe it would be Gen4 CFxA which gives same performance as Gen2/3 CFxB in a smaller size which could potentially be easier to dissipate the generated heat. hmm, I would have preferred an R5ii with CFxB + CFxA over CFxB + SD 😛
Talking about heat: these working temperatures are not the air temperatures, but inside the camera. In Canadian -30degC air, when the camera comes out of the car and keeps working, the card may never feel colder than -10. But when our original R5 approaches overheating .. the card may get pretty close to 70 degC, even when the air is only '30' degC

If DJI release a camera it could use the CFE A type cards. I don't thing any of the big brand will move from B to A

Thanks Simon. How reliable are their sd cards?

Anyway, I’m still waiting for the day when camera manufacturers will give us dual cfx type b cards in all cameras (or at the very least type a). When do you estimate they will give us dual cfx type b cards?

Already placed my order for two of these bad boys!

Interested, also Lexar have CFxpress type A cards. I am not into video so 160 gb is enough for almost 4000 RAW pictures.

Simon, do you think they’re going to bring back the 1TB CF Express Type A? I’ve been waiting for the new ones because I can’t find the old ones anymore.

Angelbird AV Pro CF Express MK2 4TB is 25068 SEK (2300 US) per card, that is very expensive. This is the price here in Sweden.

But why they (Canon, Sony, Nikon, Fuji etc) don't use the small NVME disk in 2230 case ? Are we in 2024 or maybe I'm wrong and we are still in 2004 ?? 🙂😅

Probably all switched to Canon on the quiet.

Lowest cost per MB? Maybe as a list price but there’s plenty of Type A cards on sale these days for similar prices or a bit lower. Let me know when they roll out 512GB for $179.00 like they did with their Type B cards a year or so ago. Then Angelbird will have something to crow about.
