Santa Rosa in 24 Hours: Where to Eat, Drink & Explore

Santa Rosa is a great jumping off point for exploring Sonoma County. The city is home to fabulous eateries, breweries, and wineries as well as a plethora of Peanut's history. Within 45 minutes you can be on Pacific Coast Highway in Jenner, the wine region of Sonoma or the Armstrong Redwoods. Here is how we recommend you spend 24 hours or more in Santa Rosa.

For anyone that's here more recently:
-Paradise Ridge winery burned down a few years ago
-Bistro 29 shut down
-the pizzeria which is actually in Sebastapol, is also shut down (but there is still some great stuff there),
-Shuffles is no longer in railroad square, but it does still exist in Santa Rosa
-Sonoma canopy tours and the Russian River are quite a drive from Santa Rosa,
-I think Armstrong redwoods (which is in Guerneville, not Santa Rosa) at least got singed in this year's fires and will not look the same.

Santa Rosa is still amazing, but this video is wildly outdated and I'd suggest an update since it's a great town and there's a lot of cool stuff to do there.
Here's my list of things to do if you plan on visiting post-covid:
-epicenter
-Howarth Park
-Luther Burbank Museum
-Safari West
-(if you have kids) the Children's Museum of Sonoma county
-the Santa Rosa Cemetery (dates back to the 1850s)

Russian River Brewery was absolutely TERRIBLE when I went there. VERY slow service and couldn't get a drink to save my life. Anyone asks me where to go, I'll tell them to avoid that place at all costs. Not friendly at all

Be careful not to stumble over the homeless people all over downtown.

yep, eat drink and explore the streets filled with homeless people and way overpriced restaurants that give you tiny little portions while quadrupling the price. all fluff and no substance. santa rosa in a nut shell.

You can Canoe through the logs from the sewer in the river you can get drunk to be in Santa Rosa from the bro wreath and you have to be drunk to be in Santa Rosa downtown they have destroyed the downtown Santa Rosa you will get pulled over no matter what they have destroyed family pool Hall family theater there's nobody in them all other than police it truly is a great experience to see how wonderful account could be but it sucks
