Unfortunately my hotplate stirrer broke AGAIN. This time it's the heating element and it's too fried for me to fix. I'm seeing if i can get replacement parts or order another hot plate stirrer. So until then I'll have to continue making videos that don't need heat. I'll likely do some electrochemistry in my next video if i can't get my hot plate stirrer fixed before then.

Id actually like to hear the sound during the reactions. If others feel the same I would encourage you to keep the sound of the reaction in if it doesn't interfere with the voice over

Nurdrage, you are my most favourite youtuber. What you are doing is really good and I respect that. Even I want to do most of the experiments that you do but I don't have the chemicals or the proper equipment. I am just a kid and I really love chemistry. So just wanted to say GOOD JOB and KEEP IT UP! The more videos of your I watch, the more I like chemistry. So continue making these videos and GOOD JOB!

You are hands-down one of my absolute favourite youtubers. Your videos are always amazing and informative, and you're brilliant. Thank you!

We had so much Manganese in a Factory near where I live, If only I knew I'd would have taken some to make thermite. Took them years to dispose it.

Your videos are amazing, informative, and some of these look like straight up wizardry.

When I made thermite with Manganese Dioxide it flashed almost explosively. It left tiny globules of metal on the side of the flower pot. But the whole thing reacted in a fraction of a second rather than a slower burn rate. Scared the heck out of me as I hadn't backed away yet.
I've doped regular Iron Oxide thermite with small amounts of Manganese Dioxide but don't really notice an effect. Next is trying something like a 50-50 mix of manganese and iron oxide.

Neat, E&F tried this too I believe, but didn't get any reasonable amount of manganese metal.
Also, please leave in the sound when doing noisy reactions.

I haven't ever seen any silver oxide thermite before. Then again, come to think of it, that's probably way to crazy for anyone to try.

But please do.

I have always been tempted to remove some tree stumps with this stuff. It would be impressive.

Thank god a video. Just waiting while my knee dries as i kinda crashed with a bike (lol)

It would be cool if you did a video showing HF melting glass and talking about the difference between corrosion and an acid's strength.

Can I give you a hint on how to get pure manganese oxide?
You can wash in water MnO2 battery then dry it.
Put the powder obtained in liquid potassium nitrate so as to burn all of the carbon.
Rewash and dry.
nice video :)

Can you show a guide on how to make proper ferrous sulfate? The basic reaction would be to react copper sulfate with iron but I was also wondering whether crystals could be made out of it. It's a request. A video from your end would be highly appreciated.

I have heard of doing this with Titanium Dioxide as well. These all got me wondering. could you make a mix of metal oxides and make a thermite reaction and get alloys at the end?

Nice video, as usual! I was wondering if stearic acid derived from beef tallow would be any different than stearic acid derived from palm oil? Thanks!

Isn't aluminium is like 9 grams per mole of electron participation and manganese like 13.75 grams per electron participation

Why not use aluminum-silica for your container? It stays solid under temperatures that melt iron.
