I remember day 1 of this game being called SkyBlock. Gonna miss this game and I've always loved every update they have pushed out to us, yes some have been buggy or rushed but still amazing to get on to something new too. Goodbye Islands you will be missed <3

So many lovely messages from the community that make Islands so enjoyable, I made so many friends over the last 3+ years through this game, I know many have moved on to new games and come and gone from Islands, but the friendships have lasted through that and will last forever...thanks DV for posting these messages

I remember when I joined Islands when grapes and buffalkor were added to the game and the game's name was Skyblock. This game taught me so many things in the past like scamming, the existence of tutorial videos, the concept of grinding, drama, as well as problem solving. I quit after the 2022 Halloween event and even I knew the end of Islands was coming. Eventually, it did come to an end but I will never forget the good times I had there. R.I.P.

This game legitimately made my life so much better. Not only did I connect with my current friends, but I met one of my best friends to this day on islands. The memories and fun times we all had on islands are truly something I don’t think any of us will ever forget. Goodbye islands :)

I love how so many people mention the friendships they have made through Islands. I really believe the good people in the game outnumbered all the scammers and dupers. I can not count on all my digits how many people have helped me in this game. Islands has a true legacy in Roblox for me.

I’ve had a lot of memories on islands, it’s sad to see it go, but I’m still going to keep playing it and all the memories are still there, I wonder what is next for the easy devs

I remember starting to play about 3 weeks after the game released, this really nice guy showed me how to play the game and even gave me iron from his own farm and helped me build a house. Thats the time when I got hooked. I didn’t have a computer when the game first came out, I also didn’t have xbox live, so this was the only way I could play Skyblock, and I loved it.

I was hooked to the game until the bufalkor update, where personal things in my life seeped online and made me not enjoy playing games so much

Came back during the first industrial update. That was the most fun I had for a while in the game, me and a couple of my friends where so excited for this update, we spent hours on islands building factory’s, figuring out more way to produce steel and iron faster. We where hooked

Slowly though, my friends stopped playing until it was just me left, I then stopped playing because the game didn’t feel like a fun building game anymore, but a game that put making money above everything else. Duping ruined rare items that me and my friends once spent hour’s getting.

Current day, im very sad to hear the game is no longer going to get updates, even though I haven’t played in so long. I hope the devs can find a game that they enjoy working on that would be as big of a hit as islands once was.

Even though I didn’t managed to be one of the people who have started since Roblox Islands came out, it is the only place where I can be creative with what designs I want to make. To be brutally honest, I only started playing Roblox because of islands. Thanks for your efforts. You never know when something is over till it truly was…

wow. i’ve been playing islands for over 2 years and this is really shocking to me. i knew the devs were really busy with bedwars but i am always excited for a new islands update. R.I.P.

I've played islands before opal items, trading system exist, I played like during covid and it inspires me, I played islands every time because you can make alot of things there, mining, selling, building, grinding, doing some parkours and more. I don't rlly play islands rn but i am rich, I have 2 accs and they are rich. But since islands has come to an end...I'm just going to say, thank you for changing my life, even tho my friends didn't like islands, I still play with random players and play with them together too. I thought islands was going to be so popular and famous at the next future it is, islands....you made alot of people happy, alot of famous youtubers such as Dv plays and more. But I just going to leave this comment here to Dv plays and the islands community, thank you Dv for making islands videos, and thank you us proud and happy. We will never forgive you❤

Hey just want to share my islands story. I first found islands when I was 14 or so when the grape update came out so shortly after the game came out. I loved the game so much that it was all I ever wanted to do. At this point in my life it was just go to school get home and grind islands and it stayed this way for a while. Islands showed me something that I never knew about myself and that was how much I loved problem solving and learning how to auto farm and just the hole logic of how the game worked. Also showed me life lessons such as how to negotiate and stuff. Now I know that trading digital items doesn’t count but it still has the same concept. Anyway I loved that auto farm aspect so much that I started grinding to find the best farms and stuff. I designed tuns of farms seen in the early days of islands. However I began to have more responsibilities such as school and sports. Sadly I had to quit when the first big money wipe had happened because I was already playing less and I was I believe the 5th richest player in the world at the time that didn’t use dupes so it just felt kinda demoralizing. I just auto farmed and traded non stop. I eventually came back to the game, I still grinded and traded and I would take breaks and stuff but iv always loved the game. Now I am a intern as a computer scientist for automation in the pharmaceutical industry and I 10000% would not be here without how much islands made me realize that this job was meant for me and how much I loved the problem solving aspect, so I just want to thank all the devs for how much they have indirectly influenced my life and many others. ❤

I think they should add a leaderboard for most crops gathered like in skyblock to keep people still playing for a bit

this hurts, hurts a lot, even more than when i quit the game, even though i knew it was gonna die it just puts me in tears, i made lots of great memories i islands i remember when i watched your update streams for hours on end hyped for them... Good old times 😢

Escapism through lockdown, a welcome relief,
Helped some get through sadness, sorrow and grief.

The game closed down, SkyBlock no longer,
But we “welcomed Islands” which came back much stronger.

Building contests and awesome shop owners,
But also dupers, beggars and plenty of moaners 😝

Amazing creators: Izzy, Snowman and Beefy,
And of course the fantastic, elusive troller named DV

A community of people that made the game fab,

Do not under estimate what the updates brought,
And how you helped kids learn, that “couldn’t be taught”

We all say thanks to the Islands Dev Team
and hope that Islands 2, isn’t just a dream 😉

Islands took place in my heart, i remember playing with my friends in 2020 lockdown, it was a lovely game and fun .I wish we have time to play together again. Time flies, Thanks Dv for making this video

i cant believe im just now knowing about this, ive been out of the islands picture for a while now, but i feel old just seeing my old islands and the memories i made in the game, i met some great people and a friend i had for 3 years before we eventually drifted apart. regardless, the game you made was enjoyable and a job well done
