This is not an Elvis song, people. Elvis was long dead when this song was written. The song was written by Freddie Mercury as a tribute to Elvis Presley, but again, Elvis never sang it because it came out long after his death. And Dwight Yoakam is not imitating Elvis, this is just what he sounds like. Listen to any of his other songs.
