This is the first time i have got a biblically solid answer on this. Knowing my first little one that i lost at 7 weeks is waiting with Jesus for me is a delight to look forward to.

Love Dr. Heiser’s teaching! I end up having to “unlearn” what I was taught, and see verses with new eyes and understanding! It’s so uplifting and inspiring!

you so very much. I carry the deep regret of abortions done when young and ignorant, years before I was saved. I know I have been washed clean by the blood of Jesus, but the pain and remorse remain. Knowing my babies are with the Lord helps my heart to heal a little, thank you. 🤗

As a general point concerning those of limited mental capacity,

I know of a minister whose adult daughter who had a very severe mental incapacity, unable to communicate, speak or interact in any way generally, and she almost always in a state of agitation. She would in church services, especially when given meaningful supportive touch, i.e. hold her hand would have a great serenity come over her. To that church it was generally taken to be a sign that she (the disabled person), responded to the church environment and reassurance physically of her hand being held, perhaps because the believer doing so had the Holy Spirit in them ministered and in a slightly fuzzy way transferred peace directly by the Spirit. She had no power to verbally confess the Gospel but these evidences were taken by that church to allow in God's mercy an evidence of her salvation. (Peace with God, in the context of Jesus being proclaimed).

Further to this and prior in my own experience as having volunteered for a number of years at an art project for severely autistic adults, most of whom had very severe sensory/communication problems, the support care staff (non Christian, but lovely people none the less), described in two instances the disabled and very limited capacity people as Christians.
When I asked why they thought of them as such, two factors were in common. Their parents were Christians and had requested that their adult children be taken to a Christian church service regularly. The anacdotal words of the non Christian carers was that the disabled women were very peaceful in the church service, whereas the who rest of the week they were agitated. This would have stood out to them as carers in a practical way, the emotional state of their patients was monitored and if possible alleviated. Remarkably so just by the church environment the carers told me.

The consensus of the carers was that even though (at least back then), they didn't become Christians, but they couldn't explain the peace in only the Church environment. And they were glad for it to continue for it's obvious thereapeutic value.

I think as a more general point of witness God uses very weak people to demonstrate certain things, so that it may be clearly discerned it is his power working (for peace in these instances), and as such a gentle witness is given to both believers and those yet to come to faith.

My sincere hope is that for those committed carers that gentle witness would be evidence at such time as they consider faith in Jesus and help them consider well.

It’s appalling that this needs explained; this needed explaining and thanks be to God for his incredible mercy and wisdom

God would be an unjust judge for sending babies to hell

Jesus fixed the death problem being the first raised from the grave.

Oh man am I glad this came up. Was discussing this exact thing with someone who believes in reincarnation. I should have waited to comment. The conversation with the friend was when is the soul in a newborn? They believe that there is a sea of souls out there who can enter at the momemt of conception. I do not agree with the idea but it is still something yo think about. Is a soul created when the egg and sperm meet? Is that when God breathes the life into them? I have read and seen that there is a flash of luminescence at the moment of conception. I find that amazing. This video addressed an idea I had never even thought about i.e. the status of the unborn. I like the explanation.

Sure there's an age of innocence. GOD is not looking to punish no one much less kids

🤔💭 Was Jesus not born of the "imperishable seed" of the Holy Spirit just as Christians are??

Jesus did not live and die on a cross and rose from the dead to forgive our guilt. He died and rose again to forgive our sin. guilt and sin are not the same thing.

The babies who are the victims of abortion do not suffer eternal damnation and separation from God - their mothers however...

🤔💭 So if we want to insure our children receive eternal life, we should abort them before they sin & become guilty before God??

so does that make abortion a good thing?

I think you see Catholic dogma through a lens, maybe influencing your understanding without theology.

Original sin is better described as shame not guilt.
Both Mary and Jesus had to be born in pre-fallen condition pre-shame.
