1. The presenter mentioned that she has a 10yr old. Part of the problem is that we have our own children to protect and therefore the other children are less of our responsibility. We go cold at the thought of her own child falling pregnant. If we recognise that these are all our children then we are having a very different conversation.
2. I would advise a conversation about what it means to be bored, what is the need for entertainment, from my conversations with many youngsters they seem to have a real issue with the lack of activity in their lives, this is what they call bored. This is also what justifies their mischievious activities whether its sex, alcohol, videogames whatever.
3. The issue of money is a big one, with the imbalance between the rich and the poor what you are finding is that the culture of ambition means that people are willing to do whatever it takes to have a taste of what they think is a better life.

The powers of parenting have been weakened by SOME government policies. Our children are encouraged to experiment with sex too early, causing them to loose their self esteem, confidence and focus on loving themselves. We shouldn't be telling our teenagers to zcondomise, instead we should be telling them to stay away from sex at a young age or before marriage.

Give back full powers to parents to teach our daughters on issues of sex...let no one else interfere. We are the only ones who love them Unconditionally.
As Fathers we should love our daughters, we should validate at all times.

As a responsible man, i cannot sleep with a girl, that is the same age as my daughter or niece. This includes me, and all men with daughters in SA.

Teachers are parents to our children, regardless of how old the teacher is.
