Easily Transform Anything Into Vector Art

In this video I will show you how this free app, Adobe Capture, allows you instantly turn anything into vector art using the camera capture on your phone or ipad. I demonstrate and test it's capabilities using a cool transfer technique using a photocopy/laser print and a blender marker. The result is an authentic distressed texture in vector format that you can further manipulate in Adobe Fresco or Illustrator!

Wow, that looks more analog than pretty much any vector art I've seen. What a unique technique. I didn't know about the shapes with Capture. Definitely trying that out!

This is definitely a cool & fun creative process. Just when I needed to be rescued from a creative slump! You are always my go-to for everything Adobe Fresco & certainly for endless artist inspiration. Thank you Chris for everything you have taught me.

This is SO INCREDIBLY cool. I primarily work in vector and I love that there's such a simple way to give it that more organic look. Genius as always, Chris!

Wow thank you for bringing me back to my design school days. I remember my favorite professor teaching us this. Love it and it looks awesome, thanks for sharing! 😊

I learned this technique while at Art Institute of Seattle. They called it a Xylene transfer. When the "juice" was gone, I would refill it by removing the nib with a pair of tweezers and refilling the marker with Xylene from Home Depot . I think its called Painter's Solvent now.

Man, I remember doing this back in the day. Eventually I just started using acetone with a tightly wadded up rag and made quick work of it.

This is a cool technique and easy enough to replicate. Appreciate the different type of video bc I just see so many people doing the exact same things.

That marvelous smell is Xylene! Highly toxic (use ventilation). I never thought I would see such a brilliant practical use for this old school technique. Thanks!💯
