Mate, I have a Stihl 010 which I bought about 30 years ago. It’s been a sensational little saw, but it’s starting to have some reliability issues. You’ve convinced me. I’m getting too old to hang onto my bigger MS291. 90% of the time this MS180 will do exactly what is needed.

I got the stihl mse141c, 14in corded, it runs the 3/8 chain. I installed the factory chain, brand new and it doesnt bite, dig in into the dry lumber and cut. It likes to slip. I bought another brand new 3/8 stihl chain and encountered same issue.

I dont know if its the chain, the chainsaw itself or the lumber is too dry.

All the videos ive seen are people ripping through 6in plus lumber no problems.

Thinking whether i should replace it with the ms180.
