Honda S2000 some would argue, has always been a classic. Indeed many of the Japanese cars of the 90s make the grade - Mitsubishi GT3000 (GTO), Nissan Skyline GT-R (especially the R32-R34), Mazda RX7, Toyota Supra (A80), Honda NSX, Toyota Celica, Toyota MR2, Mitsubishi FTO, Nissan Silvia, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo, Suburu Impreza the list goes on and on. We don't have Japanese cars like that any more.

Love the look of the Brera – wish we had them in the states! The current Mazda3 hatch seems to be the next best thing in that vein.

I remember the Brera Prototype from the Geneva Salon de l´Auto. Whether one likes it or not, it seems this design marks some kind of turning point. It was VERY much the center of attention. A clean, essential but still sensual design that incorporates many aspects that are vital. Especially the prototype which even had scissor doors. It´s even the cover shot of a great book about Giugiaro with a stunning photograph by one of the greatest car photographers.

Brera is awesome! I would have liked Alfa Romeo to choose another chassis with a rear drivetrain and the same dimensions as the prototype.

He includes honda crz which came out at the same time as the Peugeot RCZ? The latter was designed by Audi head of design, based upon karmann Ghia and Peugeot's winning le man's car. It had a mini & BMW engine plus gearbox and was hand built by Magna in Austria for £25k brand new. I'd much prefer an RCZ to a crz
