Slyde is a little weird on how they conduct business. They buy the remaining life span of the policy term and then offer their insurance plan on the next renewal term. Historical homes are super expensive to rebuild and not many will insure them. The $37k is not surprising. I hate it when people complain "My home has never flooded." It is base off your area and just because it does not flood today it may tomorrow. That's the point of insurance.

There taking over policies not to continue the business. But to force them to not renew. That is a scam. Why past it to another insurance if thats what there going to do. In my opinion.
