Garrett Pro-Pointer vs. White's Bullseye TRX

Just a few observations from both of my pinpointers, the Garrett Pro-Pointer and the White's Bullseye TRX

Thank you for your review of the TRX.  I've never used a pinpointer but have always wanted one.  Looks like I'm gearing to purchase the TRX based on the several reviews I have watched.

Thank you for that Wonderful review! I'm pretty confident now that I want the new TRX pin pointer.
By the way, that loop on the top of the TRX holster is for an optional lanyard for the TRX.

I personnaly have the Orange Garrett which is perfect for depth and I have used the black one for many years, For those who have a Garrett and do not want to spend $ to get a deeper one here is a small trick that will give you an inch to an inch and a half more depth.. It weird but actually works well... step 1 . Do a depth test on paper like the video Step 2 : find a clad dollar or quarter and place it on the side of the black garrett tip while its ON..It will vibrate.. slowly slide the coin to the top until the vibration stops... step 3 Tape the coin exactly there with eletrical tape on the pointer, , Step 4 turn pointer off and On and try a depth test again.. you will have gained some depth.... once the coin is taped, it does not affect the pointer.. I had a coin on mine for many years.. Hope this helped..

I had the Bullseye II and although I bought it new, I sold it on ebay to get the TRX.  Much better than the Bullseye.  Also watched, "the testing of 5 different pin pointers" on this channel and out of the 5, the TRX beats them all.  White's is also made in the U.S.A. and they back their product.

Looks like the White's TRX is the way to go nowadays. I like the more narrow area of sensitivity at the tip of the White's TRX. No comparison in my opinion.

I bought a Whites Bulls Eye pin pointer about 5 years ago, did not work right at all. Sent it back to Whites.A few years later i bought a Garrett Pro-Pointer, and it works great.

Nice Video - Thanks!  Just a question. Does the Whites also have the fine pinpointing like the Garrett.  Meaning once you have found the target if you turn the Garrett off and back on while on the target it will reduce the sensitivity for finer pinpointing?

I have Garrett but it interfere a lot with my MXT PRO when I set sens over 10 . Time to buy TRX, thanks for sharing.

Nicely done video. Strange about the fields being so differently shaped. If there is field near the handle and tip, why not the whole way, since you can still be getting misled by something ringing near the handle when you think it is the tip.

I have nothing but Whites and I love my TRX. It Pinpoints 3 1/2 deep.

I've never had any issues with my Garret. I've had it 2 yrs plus now. I've played around with a few other pointers and they just don't compare. If I had to go with another it would be a Minelab go find

Id saay the clip on the TRX is to attach your landyard if you use one.

I once owned the TRX when it first came out..what a piece of XXXX. Sold it and keep my old GP. I belong to a club here and almost everyone who owns the TRX is trying to get rid of it...no offense but Whites need to improve on it.
