In this Excel Function Explained video series, I will explain, how to use RandBetween function in excel. It is used to Create random integer number in excel. Using RandBetween function, you’ll be able to return random number by giving a minimum and maximum range. .

Let’s learn how to use RandBetween formula in excel.

The Function looks like this = RandBetween (Bottom, Top)

The RandBetween function has only two arguments or parameters.

1. Bottom: This is where you provide a minimum number. You’ll have to provide numeric value here. This is a mandatory parameter.

2. Top: In this parameter, you’ll need to provide Maximum numeric value. This is also a mandatory parameter.

After giving the parameters when you press enter the formula will generate random number within that range. This is how we use RandBetween in excel. Remember, using RandBetween function in excel you actually tell excel formula to return a random number based on top and bottom number we specify
