They also make custom sizes. I have them doubled up so the magnet strength is doubled also. Alex is the owner of Lodesol and he is great to deal with.

I think you could make these on your own for very cheap with a bunch of circular or rectangular neodymium magnets along with a vacuum sealer and maybe a bit of glue to keep them in place. Glue the corners/edges together on top of the vacuum pack and seal it and you should have basically the same product. It might not be pretty but you could always just spray paint it or something. Might not be worth the time or money if you don't already have a vacuum sealer, but if you do, big packs of those magnets are pretty cheap. If you want to get really fancy you could sew or glue some ripstop or heavy duty nylon around it, or even better, stitch together two pieces of 4-6oz leather.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that caliper is probably junk now. They don't like magnets whatsoever.
