Do you think that the backlash LE SSERAFIM has received for the documentary is justified?

Can't really blame them about the plagiarism of music when every girl group have no say in what music is produced. Their company is responsible for that.

I don’t get why their company would release the documentary during a hate train because obviously people would obviously see it as a damage control and pity. They should have released it after their comeback and showing their improvement, that will change the peoples opinion.

I wonder if Garam feels like she dodged a bullet?

The girls did deserve the criticism because there’s no way that after training for years, their vocals aren’t good. However, the hate and all the disrespectful comments they got were unnecessary and in no way with good intentions.

Kpop is the reason i have a horrible perception of Korean Netizens.

Once again proving that the worst thing about kpop are the fans 🤣

I as well do not understand how somebody that loses confidence and gets nonstop hate is obviously closing inside in a shell and then when those idols do something to themselves the ones that said just give up actually end up calling that idol weak and good they are not here anymore. It’s a hatred that needs to be shamed, barking online so plainly is so harmful

the best way to handle the criticism is by showing the actual result of practice.
Instead of documentaries they should show there improvement in live vocal during the next comeback only that can be the actual proof of there practice and will help with the harsh criticism they have to handle

How did the company think they wouldn’t be criticized for their bad vocals? The lineup literally consists of only 2 (out of 6 including Garam) members who can sing - the others are undertrained singers who aren’t innate vocalists (one is even tone-deaf, let’s face it). To add insult to injury, the company also gave them songs out of their range.

The company probably thought their visuals and dancing would compromise their lack of vocal skills. The girls are paying the price from HYBE’s bad decisions.

We tend to forget one thing as fans. The documentary of Lesserafim proved again that not only haters caused the girlies to be in this state. SOME Fearnots kept comparing them with their colleagues by bullying other fandoms which means every other fandom were actually waiting for the things they said like "Yunjin clears all your Vocalist" or "Sakura is good for someone coming out from Japan/J-Pop" and once all of that bragging wasn't real, it backfired. Yunjin's word were twisted by her own fans and even her talent (she's not an opera singer). And also Hybe are to blame. Those girls are/were not good mentally even though Hybe and their fans claims that they have therapist and psychologist on site. Hybe is acting all nice by saying "you can stop if you're tired, don't push yourself" when in fact, those girls spent years with Hybe toxic management and starving and clearly were made to not say no or not being a disappointment. Hybe debuted those girls only with 4 months of training as a group when usually groups take 2 years to train and figure out what sound is best for them. It's good we share a light on haters cause some of them really want to end Lesserafim but at the end of the day Hybe and Fearnots have more influence on those girls than anyone else. They are the one who makes think Eunchae she will be ugly in a few years not the contrary.

Fun fact IVE proved themselves even New Jeans too proved themselves that they can live sing very well after getting lot of hate why lesserafim is not able to do this . I think their company should change their concept and should give them a comfortable concept so that the group can do well.

To be honest, it is the first time me seeing some people blaming company for idols' lack skills. Many other idols called hurtful names like dozens, tone deaf, stiffs but no single person blamed company. I wish ppl were open minded like that for other cases too.

( Y'all need to chill, I didn't say lsfem didn't get hate they got too, but it is my 1st time seeing ppl started blaming company for lack skills and wishing they were open-minded like this for other cases too)

Debuting people who aren't ready is so unprofessional. You can't expect people to be nice cause they won't stop until you give them a good reason
The company is the real villain here
But in second place, the idols should not stop and should show improvement
peaple should not bully, too
That's a fact.

Compared to other idol groups le sserafim was spoon fed. Not with just a regular spoon, but with a gold spoon

let them rest hybe, it's getting ever worst more than on easy era. give them vocal lesson, improve the vocal first, i'm fearnot too, but hybe never let this girl rest.

the only thing I know is that idols are supposed to sing. they're singers, so if they cant sing then why in the world are they idols? what's their difference with dancers? if all they can do is be pretty and dance?

So, from the sounds of things, I feel the problem with the documentary isn't so much the authenticity of the members' experiences but rather that it seems to overly emphasize on their hardships. Rather than highlight and showcase their merits as why we, the audience, should root for them, the documentary's approach seems more emphasize more and rely on tapping into basic human decency of not wanting to see people suffer. This is not a criticism of the girls - as their experiences are likely genuine - but rather the choices the director makes when shaping a narrative and what footage they choose to keep and what not to include.

Also, some of the footage simply shows how HYBE managers tell the members to prioritize their health and not push themselves too hard; while it is clear that the members will inevitably continue anyway due to the immense power imbalance between them and the pressure or expectations placed on idols. A true leader would - recognizing that power imbalance - would know when idols are pushing themselves too far and intervene; directing them to rest and making the tough call for them. Rather, what they're doing is just a way for the company to absolve themselves of responsibility by presenting a veneer of choice that isn't really a choice at all.

It's ironic that source music had GFRIEND the vocal gods and now has le sserafim who cant even properly sing basics what did the company thought that they wouldn't need vocal trainers now or something 😑
