Dade Murphy, alias "Crash Override" also known as "Zer0 Cool" has an iconic computer in the 1994 film Hackers. This is our attempt to produce a reproduction that both looks and functions as closely as possible to what was represented in the film.

i know that a lot of builders would just go for a 3d printed case and parts, but you actually sourced parts that was be actually used in the film and built the thing in the way that the prop makers would have probably made the original prop in the movie! awesome!

I am still trying to pick my jaw up off the floor. This movie is a classic to us who know it, but sadly, it's still a really niche movie, it's so cool to find others who are also obsessed with this movie from a much easier, simpler time in our lives when we still had hopes, dreams and thought anything in the world was possible. Then....Everything changed....we all know when it did. The movie takes me back. It's such a special piece of time caught on film. Love everything about it

This video deserves so much more views. The amount of love and skill that went into this build is inspiring (im in the middle of a Toshiba T3100/20 retrofit and it really helps 😁). Never seen the movie, but it's on my Christmas list now!

Such amazing work. I absolutely LOVE that someone else out there is as enthralled with this movie as I am lol. Can’t wait to see cereal killers laptop done up. That will forever be my favorite character in any movie.
