An undertrained and ill-prepared soldier can put the whole platoon in danger. Shouldn't be an impulsive decision.

That Canadian chef can actually help cooking for the refugees in the border of Poland, not necessarily the frontlines especially that he doesn’t have military experience.

Good nice to have experienced people who are courageous enough to fight

They don't want to accept inexperienced adventurers because they'll just end up having to look after them, which is a distraction.

The thing is, Ukrainian military do multitasking at the same time. They simply don't have the luxury of time to train volunteers having zero experience.
This is a matter of life and death and the possibility of being crippled or losing limbs or captured, so I think it's for the goodness of both Ukrainian military and the volunteers.

Ukraine doesn't want to put not prepared people at risk. We really appreciate the will to help!!!! Thank you very much to all!!!!

it's a great example of leadership, not all volunteers are soldiers, you can send them back home or give another work to help,

Think it’s very good of the Ukrainians to select the ones with battle or military experience, the ones without it would mostly be dead as fast they enter the battle ground and for sure take some allies with them…there are so much to know and a need of reaction instinctively to have a chance survive in war!

As in any real situation, experience is always required when resources are unavailable to continually train personnel.

I'm quite impressed with the wisdom, honor, fairness and consideration for others Ukraine has shown. Excellent example.

I would think there are many military support jobs which can be done by those who don't have military training. Also, doing things which help soldiers' families out help free them up to fight.

Yep they need experienced fighters that can fit in and be effective cant put at risk soldiers in theatre, but hopefully other roles, transport, civilian roles in the cities after war I'm considering spending annual leave in a volunteer role

This amazing leader is a frontline worker himself...
Being visible...at great risk to himself...in every aspect of this war...
Medals for bravery...flowers for young victims...UN appearances...speaking to survivors and listening to them...Grammy Awards...an eye witness to atrocities...speaking to reporters...
He is the right man for the job indeed...

Not all volunteers can be suitable to fight, they don't have the spare men to train people. If people aren't trained them they could be killed. Zelensky is only protecting those people. This is a killing war not a war game.

Goods on Ukrainians for stopping the impulsive & inexperienced. They have no business going into battle without proper training.

Ukrainian military forces are experiencing combat intensity that has not been seen since WW2... They need soldiers who are combat experienced and have their own gear.

Ukraine needs persons with prior military training to go on the front line, not war tourists. Persons who still want to volunteer can help in non-military means.
