Hi, GREAT review!
- What kind of external speaker can be used?
Didn't know that 3.5mm socket on the rear was for external speaker!

- How exactly to enable Promiscuos mode to listen any call regardless Contacts, CC and Slot?
I did read that using Monitor it can achieve it.

Thanks!!

...but no detachable faceplace, how could they forget that in todays day and age?

cars no longer have the full lenght slots to squeeze a radio in.

thanks for the nice review

Good video
I’m on 2nd early model of tyt md9600.
I like it but early models had issues. Fw fixed most.
Only one I can think of left is sometimes zones claim to be empty when changing
Bright white background was solved with green plastic film
Some mod the diodes for colors

1. Is the control head removable?
2. Are you still happy with the radio? Have you had any problems?

Hi, great review!
Do you know any software or way to adjust/tune the Tx output power of RT90?
Because after checking mine with many Power & SWR Meters I found that the radio output Tx is below Specs. At some levels is half the power it should be.
If you have the software or know the way to adjust that, I'd REALLY appreciate your help!
Thank you very much

Very nice review! Question: is the "emergency" button re-programmable?? If not, it should be! What a waste of a button! The manufacturer should allow it to be made into a user programmable button.

Hi, thanks for this overview. Do you know if you can set it up to NOT be able to change the settings from the front end - only from the software to stop bored fingers on a night shift? 🤔

How does it compare to TYT MD-9600? It looks exactly the same.

Do you know if this radio is supported by chirp?

I was tempted a while back to purchase one but held off with all the bugs. I’ll wait for the mobile version of the AT868 to be released :)

Will this radio work straight out of the box?without any pc programming? Thanks.

Another great review Lewis!
The radio looks very good and has a great feature set.
too expensive. Could get two used Motorola DM series mobiles for the same money.
No remote head option which means installation in a modern car is difficult. Should be standard for a radio in this price range.
And since my HD-1 has developed a fault whereby it will not power on when stored for a period with battery attached. Remove and reseat the battery and it comes to life. Thought the battery was dead initially. And they don't seem to be releasing firmware updates for the HD-1 anymore. Not too trusting of Retevis products now. It would be better if Retevis improved current products instead of continually releasing new models every few months.

Identical to the TYT MD-9600. Is Retevis and TYT the same company I wonder? I'll be looking for your next video on it.

Nice video. Could you explain what exactly Talkaround is? I have this on my RT84, but I have no idea what it does. 73, Frankie.
