Mirpur (Crime Reporter): Former AJK Minister Tahir Khokhar Arrested on Fraud Charges

Arshad Mehmood, a resident of Mirpur's Dadyal Tehsil, filed a complaint with City Police Station, alleging that former AJK Minister Tahir Khokhar, son of Zubair Khokhar, borrowed 1.2 million rupees under the pretext of his wife's illness. When Arshad Mehmood demanded his money back, Tahir Khokhar issued a cheque, which later bounced on the due date. Upon further demands for repayment, Tahir Khokhar allegedly started threatening Arshad, prompting him to file a complaint regarding the dishonored cheque.

Acting on Arshad's complaint, the City Police arrested Tahir Khokhar from the court premises and transferred him to the police station. However, after his arrest, Tahir Khokhar feigned a heart condition and, reportedly with the help of the medical superintendent, got transferred to the hospital.

Public circles are demanding strict action against Tahir Khokhar to set an example for fraudsters and protect other citizens from falling victim to such scams.
