David Banner is invited by a millionaire to play a game of chess on his private island but the man turns out to be a psycho hunter with David becoming his prey.

From The Incredible Hulk Season 3 Episode 9 'The Snare' - A psychotic pilot (Bradford Dillman) offers Banner a lift, but instead makes him the quarry of an island hunt.

It was always the sudden things that triggers the transformation that I enjoyed…Like being stung by a scorpion, a swarm of bees, bitten by a rattlesnake, or being trapped in a dumpster filled with rats…I’m glad it wasn’t always him being beaten up and thrown into a isolated area so no one could see him change

You gotta feel bad for the guy. I mean, here he was, just some poor little rich guy, innocently inviting people to his private island so that he could hunt them for sport. And then this unfortunate soul just so happens to invite the one person in the whole world who turns into a big green unstoppable monster when he's hurt or angry! Seriously, why do bad things happen to good people?

This episode reminded me of the movie "Surviving the Game". A homeless person is hired by some hunters and they had him go hide in the forest and they went to hunt him down. The movie came in the 1990s with the Hulk episode in the 1970s.

The real tragedy of David’s life was that every time he managed to make a little money with one of his part-time jobs, he wound up having to blow it on another pair of jeans and another flannel shirt and another pair of dingo boots

2-parters _not_ included, this is the best episode of the series.

It does require some serious suspension of disbelief. "You see that still pond over there? Around the bend _just_ out of sight it connects to the open sea!" Yeah, right. Also, this "tropical island" has suspiciously similar terrain to MASH or The Dukes of Hazzard or a host of other shows that were filmed in southern California. But hey, it's the Hulk. _Every_ episode requires a robust suspension of disbelief.
