Zach LaVine trade rumors have been circulating throughout the 2023 NBA offseason as the Chicago Bulls are reportedly listening to trade offers for LaVine according to ESPN. The Los Angeles Lakers have been tabbed as a potential destination for LaVine, who went to UCLA. Lakers trade rumors have quieted down as the 2023-24 NBA season draws near, but never count out Lakers GM Rob pelinka. Today’s Lakers news & rumors show also takes a look at the Lakers preseason game vs. the Brooklyn Nets, where the Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura-led Lakers won 129-126.

Jamal Collier of ESPN on Zach LaVine trade rumors:
Rival teams have checked in with the Bulls about LaVine's availability, team and league sources told ESPN, but no team has been willing to meet Chicago's reportedly large asking price. LaVine, 28, is owed $129 million over the next three seasons and owns a $48.9 million dollar player option in 2026-27.

Lakers head coach Darvin Ham on LeBron James’ load management:
Now that we have, top to bottom, what we feel like is a highly, highly balanced, skilled, athletic, younger team of guys that have logged a ton of NBA minutes, we can surround both he and AD with these players who are coming in eager to contribute... That’s going to allow us to be able to be more efficient with his game-to-game minutes.

Rui, AR, Russell, and draft compensation for 24 pts a game???? I’m confused as AR will do that on his own. Nah we are straight.

No way. No trade. All that for Zack. That will be a terrible mistake

I don’t care how much his contract is it doesn’t match up to the players we have to give up it’s not worth it

I like Zach LaVine's game a lot, but that is too much to give up for him. Plus, he is a 28-year-old with a formerly torn ACL, which might make him vulnerable.

Add Caruso and i’d do it. For LaVine alone remove Reaves

Why do you do this crap? Lakers don't want Lavine, and you know it, so what the hell are you doing? Is the competition for clicks that brutal?

She just said lebron is one of the greatest players in the FRANCHISE 🥴👋🏼 if we talking Lakers I absolutely disagree. Lebron is not even a top 10 LAKER of all time. AD should be the focus and have lebron as a second option. We should be looking out for AD more than we should be for lebron. I understand how good lebron is but he should NOT be looked at or treated as the best player in the roster specifically because of his AGE. Try and play more around AD than u would around lebron because at the end of the day that’s why Lakers extended AD. The focus should be Davis not James.
