He may not be a 7ft rim protector but he is a BIG physical forward that is very mobile. hope they can free up a roster spot via trade so they can sign him. His physicality + his 3 pt shot would work wonders alongside AD

Front court depth chart:

Lebron James / Hachimura / Vanderbilt / Giles / Hinson / Traore
AD / Wood / Hayes / Castleton / Kelly

We only have 10 power forwards and 2 centers. We absolutely must sign another in-betweener power forward to save us. Okay maybe a half dozen more.

Requirements are:

1. Ready for a big role in those single digit shared minutes with Vando, Rui, Wood and Hayes open at PF and center combined every other night.

2. Lack of foot speed. We don't want anybody helping D'Lo and Reaves get a stop.

3. We are looking for a bad shooter with absolutely no handles. We want someone other teams can sag off of to double AD and Lebron and cripple the Lakers offense. Jordan and Drummond were a start, but we can certainly do worse.

4. Complete lack of experience would be beneficial. Join Bronny, JHS, Max, Lewis, Castleton in one of the worst performaning G-league teams ever and capture an NBA title when Lebron walks.*

*and by NBA title we mean get cut and change your G-league franchise

5. Trust is important. You need to trust the process, so we can buuld a trade for you like KCP and Kuzma or send you away for no reason at all like Zubac and Caruso.

6. Defensively challenged in general.

7. Terrible vertical, so Lebron looks more impressive.

8. Masochists preferred, because you are expected to take the bulk of the blame.

9. When someone says 2-way wing, you need to be willing to step forward and spread your arms like wings, then proceed to make a flapping motion. This is crucially way more important than actually defending on the perimeter, which nobody on this team does anyway. Remember when we are talkig about chenistry and synergy in lineups, step forward stsrt flapping your wings.

10. It has been your life long dream to join the Lakers.

Gabriel sounds like a perfect center for the dubs. He's 6'9 just like loon and Trayce. Since we seem so allergic to anyone taller than that (Warriors fan here)

the lakers should work out- series really- with Yabusele, cabuculo with size and range and rebounding, run a camp- asap before anybody else, and put the rosters out there, on some real competition even only as trade chips, and find a way to get head to head slug outs with castleton, lewis. Make G league contracts ridic and chip up the farm team with who you got left. Wood is is 69 right. If these guys rebound and legit hit 40 from 3 whoa.

As much as I want an upgrade to this roster, don’t think he adds any that we don’t already have.

He still has a $2.5 million buyout kicker clause with Real Madrid in addition to the vet. min. or more you have to give him. If Lakers lose 1-2 forwards in a trade. Go for him!

Would be nice. But if we didn't free up a spot for Trent Jr, Prince, Tyus Jones, Spencer D...not sure if we're going to do anything at this point
