Very nice review Steve and I hope BlackBerry will return to its former glory in the near future!
Makes me wonder why Nokia didn't go for MeeGo and then use virtualization software, like BB, to run the thousands of Android Apps on the beautiful swipe UI, until the MeeGo app store was up to par with the other ecosystems...
PS: Your new haircut is very nice, and it makes You look ten years younger Steve ;-)

A friend here in the office has swopped his iPhone 4 (or 4S I forget) for the Z10 and is raving about it. OK part of this will always be self reassurance (it's a lot of money to pay to then decide you've got a turkey on you hands) but having played with it for an hour or so the other evening I was very impressed. I've never considered a Blackberry but I could happily live with the Z10 if it had a Xenon Flash so 4 now I think I hang on to my N8 and await the much teased Nokia Windows 8 God Phone.

Awesome review Steve oh and cool hair cut too. I'm really hoping all the bugs you mentioned are ironed out by the time i'm due my upgrade in 2014, I also hope we see more of the apps we all know and love on Android and iOs. After all the hype from BlackBerry and a certain Mr James Richardson I'm looking forward to getting my own z10.

Great review! The ads for that thing are all over the place right now, I don't know for sure but I think they want me to buy one! The square corners are putting me off though, it looks uncomfortable to hold it. I hope they do well though and the next model they make with a comfy curved shape. Does it require the usual blackberry services to be enabled (and sometimes paid for)?

Yes, I use the GN every day as my 'secondary' device. Some small scratches but I keep it in a pouch case when not being used. Not pockets. Sounds like you need a screen protector?

Another great review Steve. I run a bold 9900 as my second phone and I'm considering the z10 maybe even as my main phone replacing my iphone5

Nice review Steve! This new BB looks good! Two years ago this phone would have made headlines! But at this price point I can get an iPhone 5, it's lighter, thinner, faster, best eco system in the industry etc or the new gorgeous Asus PadFone (i love that phone). So I don't see a chance they can compete at this price point!

You are correct in your observation, the Z10 is too massive for a 4.2" screen! They either should have shrunk the bezel or made a larger screen with a thinner bezel!

Thumbs up is for the very honest and spot on review. The phone and OS themselves don't do it for me. My Note 2 + Android is just the perfect combination for me, although the LG Optimus G Pro seems really tempting - until the Note 3 that is ;-)
