I have to cofess my first approach to Green Arrow was CW's Arrow, but after realizing how charismatic is the real Oliver and that perfect relationship with Dinah I could totally understand the rejection of a lot of fans, and I felt disappointed cause Stephen Amell would make a perfect comic book Ollie

Fun fact: this short was directed and written by Greg Weisman, who would go on to create the show Young Justice. In season 1 one of the episodes slightly adapts this story!

That fight scene on the conveyor belt was surprisingly realistic, gritty, and entertaining all at the same time. They used almost entirely real fighting techniques with accurate boxing, kick-boxing, wrestling, and jiu-jitsu all put together. As a martial arts fan, I wish they used more stuff like this in live action choreography.

It took me a long time to get this one line that Perdita says: "Every queen needs a consort." And Oliver confirming that "Every Queen does"...it just hit me that he's referring to both himself and Black Canary, , since Queen is his last name and Dinah is his queen. That's perfect.

The fact that this was made feels sweet, like a fun passion project with the appreciation of Green Arrow as he fights two of his greatest enemies and demonstrates his relationship with Black Canary. It’s basically perfect

So, the dude who directed this is directing Into the Spider-Verse 2.
He's also won an Emmy for his work on the last two episodes of Avatar The Last Airbender.
And he's also directed Jonah Hex and The Spectre, two other fantastic DC Showcase shorts, as well as half of Justice League Unlimited.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say that the sequel is in good hands.
