How Twitter Breeds Monsters | Inside Mob Mentality

Today, I take a look at the mob mentality on social media platforms such as Twitter.

More and more, we’re starting to see the rise of “cancel culture.” With the advent of social media, it’s never been easier for people to hold others accountable for their actions online. And to an extent, accountability is necessary to provoke change. But at a certain point, the line begins to blur between accountability and vitriol. All it takes is one slip-up, and you’re cancelled. The mobs are always out in full force, and what platform cultivates this behavior better… than Twitter?
