Baseball Bat from Skateboards - Art, Woodturning, Woodworking

My friend Larry Reaves asked me if he could turn a baseball bat on my lathe. I said, "Sure, on one condition: let me make a video of it." We had some fun making this video and I hope you have fun watching.

That seems like an awful lot of work for what wouldn't be a very good bat. Bats are made of a solid piece of ash or maple for a reason.
