I have visited this canyon about 15 times now and it wasn't until my 4th or 5th visit that I saw this granary. It's very difficult to see from the road, as it blends in almost perfectly with its surroundings.

This one was created by the Native American group called the Fremont Culture. Probably over 1000 years ago. I would have held food, seeds, and other items. It's empty now ;-)

Other people: “wow, an ancient Indian ruin”
Me: “How the hell did they build that up there?”

I remember seeing a well hidden grainery like this in 9 mile Canyon. It blended into the cliff like it was a part of it. We never did figure how they got up there.

What strokes me is that your videos show our ancestors used to fight for prevaling in life, with harsh conditions.🌄💪🙏✝️

I should ask again on ruins in a back road canyon area are in CO I had lived near. Assumed similar or need of fire chimney. You'd drive by it if didn't know to look.

I've said it before: you are so lucky to live in a place with such history!

My guess is there was very little rainfall from the prevailing winds at the time that was built!

Seems like a pretty inconvenient place for it

Back then, maize must've been like gold, to hide it in such an inaccessible place.
