Hat's off to Bournemouth Council for having the guts, vision and daring to pull this off! This is what is needed for people to truly come, stay, spend and enjoy the English coast.

Have stayed in these before Tim, they are lovely. Better if there is four of you as the cost is spread out as can be quite expensive. They sleep up to six people (four adults and two children), where the dining table is folds out into a double bed and there is a single one opposite it. If you leave the upstairs window open overnight using the metal hook you hear the waves crashing in the sea. Also as a bonus you get free tickets for your stay on the land train that runs into Bournemouth from Boscombe from late morning till the afternoon (seasonal i think April till September). There are also barbecue stations to cook outside and a cafe right in front the lodges.

I've just had a thought Tim (doesn't happen that often, lol!)
Could you start including parking arrangements/advice for the places you stay? Whether it's free/included or if you have to park remotely and pay etc. It all helps when you have to drive to an unfamiliar place. I enjoy watching your vids, it gives me wanderlust! Cheers.

I flew across the country to look at a beach cottage for rent in San Diego. As the lady and I were talking talk lagged and I realized I could hear the ocean. "I'll take it."

Wow Tim ... only a day or so ago someone was stabbed not too far from where you were staying .. something .. you would only think could happen in rough parts of America .. but this was beautiful beaches of Bournemouth ... it sadly puts a temporary dark cloud over this area - very sad for this lady who died .

Adorable! My mother had a little summer cottage & it was amazing how much room was inside that tiny structure.

This structure could be used for tiny homes for the homeless, just copying the layout and building them else where . Should send this to GOVERNMENT AS A SOLUTION POSSIBLY...

I love this idea for Bournemouth, congratulations to the team that decided to set this holiday experience up. I am an ex pat now living in Australia but visited Bournemouth many times in my younger years. As I grew up in the UK places like Bournemouth had a stigma for being a holiday destination for older people. I am so happy there are now lovely little places like this to keep a new generation visiting such a gorgeous place.

Yes - Beach Huts do it for me - Like a ' tiny house ' on your own beach - fabulous. Love the stairs - slide down - like in the Navy flicks. - eat your heart ' Hornblower '! I met him in Crawford St. London W1 when I lived there! Excellent spaces. Agree about the housing!
If land is released folks could have their homes like that or slightly larger.

You are cute, “4 can fit in the shower” lol. This beach hut is perfect! I would stay there. Relaxing. I use to tent camp when my kids were young. I am done sleeping on the ground and hauling stuff. I am in U.S. and love to travel so I will save this info.

I have a beach at the end of my road and there are lots of traditional beach huts, but the idea of a beach hut hotel is fabulous, I would so love to stay in one of those 😊
