A Masterful film with damn fine actors and a great historical story. This movie will last longer than all of us. These actors in a sense will live on in their characters, a fine remembrance. I loved this movie when it came out. It had family, friendship, despair, love, vengeance and death. It is a tremendous film. Sophie is still beautiful.

This movie will always be special to me. I just emigrated to America from Ireland. Someone I met at a bus stop told me I had to see it so I walked 6 miles to the theater. By God I wasn't disappointed I could recite every line in it now.
