People don't know this one well, but I just discovered it on referral... Pokemon OPALO. Freshest, most complete feeling Pokemon ROM I've ever seen, its amazing. Originally in Spanish, but has a good english dub made. Pokemon world set in a western cowboys/indians/settlers style USA. Up to 8 gens, huge huge quality of life, 16 gyms, two elite fours and the postgame... my gosh, so rewarding. Opalo is better than comparable mainline games. New music, thick plot, beating the game gives you the strongest new Pokemon of all time and unlocks the NSFW fan art gallery lol. You guys reading the comments here will love it.

I just finished scorched silver and it feels like such a natural sequel to GSC/HGSS. Truly insane how good it is and it’s perfect for nostalgic fans

The one that will likely go to the very top of my list, if it ever finally gets released will be Aurora Crystal. I do pray it releases in 2025 because damn that man (Drayano) can make a good hack and there is such a lack of good HeartGold hacks out there, which IMO was the best game of all time.

Emerald Rogue 2.0 is a blast for doing challenges so many replayablities I like that you can just run Gen 1 Dex or Gen 2.

Following Pokémon was the single biggest thing that OGs of the franchise ask for. Listen man, try being 7 years old, playing Pokémon yellow, then gold comes out, and no Pokémon following you. Then comes the playground rumors. “Just release your Pokémon to have it follow you, how can it follow you if you don’t release it” playground type rumors.

Yellow and Crystal legacy are the only romhacks i have played this year . Never played any other romhack, but from what I’ve seen here, it looks so much better than the official games. Thanks to you i have discovered seaglass now, so that will be my next one in the upcoming year.. thanks👍

Pokemon Oddyssey is the only rom hack i played on this list. Because it breaks away from the traditional pokemon plot. 10yrs old boy/girl set out on journey collect gym badges defeat the elite 4 and be the champion. In Oddyssey its focus more on adventure and exploration the story is good theres a lot of emotion to be seen. most of the battles are doubles. Unless its F.O.E its some kind of field boss that you can battle again and again but be carefull because it is always higher level than your pokemon and it can only be capture once you defeated the captian of your current map. And also it is a collaboration of Etrian Oddyssey / Made in Abys / and of course Pokemon😊 sadly i lost my save files when i was trying to update it hehe. Well im just gonna wait till its complete to playnit again. For now i play Pokemon Glazed, Pokemon Vanguard, and Pokemon Uranium. The last two is fan games it is made using rpg maker so you need to play it on laptop or pc. But you can also play it using Joiplay emulator for android 😊😂😊.

Yo Sacred, I recently got into ROM hacks and got a Miiyoo Mini Plus. I’ve only played Unbound and absolutely love it. Would you be able to give me like five more I should play next? I think my device plays up to GBA games. I specifically want games I can play on this device because I’m rarely home and want something that I can play on the go.
