Hmm… I never thought about this. We have a security camera in our son’s room. He’s 13, and has never had a friend sleepover, but I wonder if a boy would feel the same way about it? When my nephew (same age) stays over, they play with the camera (using the Alexa to stream the camera feed or one of the other cameras and running back and forth making faces and just being silly lol) quite a bit and neither of them have said anything about it.

I don’t say anything or get mad when they turn it around or face it down because I know they just want to stay up late and not get in trouble lol.

But after seeing this, I’ll definitely be asking any of his friends parents how they feel about it before their child sleeps over. Now the other cameras in the house (kitchen, den, front porch and back porch/yard) are a different story. If you don’t want to be on camera then ya just can’t stay 🤷🏻‍♀️.
