This needs to be stopped. My friend got hit by a car walking home Saturday night. He is ok, but won't even be assigned a detective for weeks, if not longer. I mean WTF are you going to do in weeks? I also looked up what the penalties are for hitting a pedestrian and it's shocking not much!

As sad as this is, the way the US works now if the guy gets the right lawyer he’ll get probation for a couple of weeks.
